安装指南(图1)

Eibach springs perfectly match the original shock absorbers, all construction is recommended to use the vehicle's original installation manual for installation.

* Before installation, be sure to shoot the original four-wheel height data (visible complete height measurement), in order to reduce the height of objections to the submission of the relevant original data, no original data of the height of the customer complaint is not admissible.

1.Each Eibach spring has a number on it, where: FA/VA stands for front spring, HA/RA stands for rear spring. Some models also have different left and right coaxial springs, L for left and R for right. Distinguish between upper and lower springs: please make sure the Eibach logo is positive.

2.Measure the ride height of your vehicle before replacing the Eibach springs, this will give you an idea of the lowering figures after replacement. Before/after replacing the springs, please record the distance C from the center of the wheel to the lower edge of the fender (as shown in the picture).

(图2)

Measurements are made in the following manner:

① Measure the distance A from the lowest point of the hub to the highest point of the fender on a horizontal plane (try to keep the measurement data perpendicular to the horizontal plane)

② Measure the diameter of the hub and divide by two to calculate the radius B

③ A minus B yields C (as shown)

After installation, you need to test drive the vehicle for about 16 kilometers to ensure that the spring and cushion in place, and then you can accurately get the driving height after replacing the spring to calculate the lowering data.

3.Before removing the shock assembly, draw a vertical line on each component as a marker. This will help you reinstall the stock parts partially in line with the stock location.

4.Mark the location of all alignment-related bolts, which will help a lot with the alignment after installation.

5.In principle, only work on one shock position at a time, there are some original components up to a dozen pieces, must be assembled in the original installation order, if you are afraid of forgetting the assembly order and make mistakes, please make a record when disassembling, you can choose one accessory to do the order for reference.

6.The direction of reinstallation screws must be consistent with the original.

7.Be careful to distinguish between the removal of the original left and right, many parts of the car are designed for the left or right side alone.

8.Pay attention to the spring protection sleeve and position, do not change privately, the part is to avoid driving noise and premature wear related parts.

9.Many front shock towers on front-wheel drive cars have steering bearings, pay attention not to dismantle the bearings, and make sure that the tower top mounting direction is the same as that of the original factory, otherwise it will lead to rattles and damage.

10.Brake fluid lines and ABS sensor harness: Pay attention to the wiring and installation location of all electronic harnesses and brake lines. Reinstalling wiring different from the original will result in damage or brake failure.

11.Support or secure the half shaft as well as the brake caliper with the proper tools, or it may cause the half shaft to come out of the transmission.

12.Do not let the brake caliper or half-shaft hang on the brake fluid line, do not pull on the brake caliper by the fluid line, this may damage the brake line, resulting in premature wear or even failure of the line.

13.A proper spring compressor must be used to remove the spring from the shock structure or from the car. The springs are pre-compressed storing a large amount of energy that can seriously injure you or others if accidentally released!!!! This step must be done with caution!!!

14.Note the orientation and fittings of the stock springs. eibach springs are installed the same way as stock, adapting to the base of the stock springs.

15.Pre-pressurize and load before tightening the suspension pivot bolts or nuts, be sure to make sure the bolts and nuts are tight in place. Most rear springs can be preloaded with a jack or high jack.

16.The stock spring isolation seat cushions are critical for road noise. If your car has been driven more than 80,000 kilometers, replacing the stock spring isolation seat pads is necessary. If during the spring replacement process you find that the factory spring isolation seat cushion has worn thin or worn through, replace it promptly. Failure to replace worn spring isolators immediately may result in noise and improper ride height.

17.Do not use air cannons for final tightening of bolts or nuts. Eibach always recommends using a torque wrench for final tightening to factory specifications.

18.When you change the suspension, you must pay attention to the corresponding location of the wiring harness, brake fluid lines, etc.. Ensure that the position is consistent with the original factory, otherwise it will easily cause danger.

19.Eibach springs are certified by German TÜV to ensure safety and improve vehicle handling, fit the original shock absorbers and will not damage the shock absorbers. However, as a consumable product, it is generally recommended to replace the shock absorbers when the vehicle is driven to about 80,000 kilometers; it is recommended to replace the shock absorbers about 60,000 kilometers after lowering the spring to change the shock absorber stroke.
